these are genuine real deal. i made sure of that. i was pretty careful picking a decent pair of in-ear headphones, watching many reviews and reading feedbback on overseas sites. the remote works well, only issue thus far is getting some features to work with my son's iphone. Overall they offer great sound and fit well. i recommend these if you're in the market for a good quality sub-$50 headset.
