Bought this for an iPhone 6S Plus mobile to recharge without having to remove the protective case, which was necessary with the Apple Dock.
With this Kidigi 2A, needed to remove the gray plastic insert to plug in iPhone 6S Plus, regardless whether case fitted or not,
The lightning connector in the Dock is hinged. So your iPhone lays back and is supported by the padded back plate, which reduces stress on the connector. A good feature.
The 5V power connector in the back of the Dock is Micro USB. Would have preferred the superior Lightning connector, but never mind. Overall a very fine iPhone charging dock.

you have to remove the grey plastic insert from around the lightning thing. it accommodates my 6 plus bumper cases really well. plus the phone doesn't rock from side to side when using it like my previous one. rock solid allround.
