Bought to protect my iPad’s lightening port from accidentally wrenching power cable. Port is part of main logic board.

Easily connects to little stub which you leave in the iPad port. Disconnects whenever the lead is tugged, but sticks well enough not to be annoying.

Wanted a cable for in the car to connect to Apple CarPlay - just too fussy plugging it in and out. This works great. Get the phone "near" the cable and the magnet pulls itself on quickly and smoothly - the connection is great and works well. Leaving the car just grab the phone it lets go easily. Very nice!
