I had been on the lookout for a while for a phone holder that suited my Hyundai i30 as the air vents sit behind the steering wheel so would block the view of the phone. The CD holder works a treat and places the phone perfectly! I feel so much safer driving with my phone secured, and easy to follow maps! Super fast postage too :)

Purchased to easily mount phone via CD slot.

Main drawback is that it’s not perfectly suited to curved fascias of factory stereos. This means it’s not so snug as with an aftermarket or older stereo head unit. Still holds tight. I’ve not had to adjust since setting it up, the swivel part stays perfectly solid in position.

Even with a reasonably heavy phone in the cradle, there’s still a light, tinny rattle from the mounting part’s spring as you drive. I’ve learned to tune out from nagging sounds (#happilymarried?) but readily accept some people would go mad from this noise.

Would I recommend it? For starters, it works well enough - tick. Price isn’t a super bargain - cross. G4G is close to me and click/collect is super easy - tick. WAY cheaper than a fine - tick.

TLDR: Easy to buy, works, keeps my phone use legal.
