Great adapter for charging, does not work with USB DACs

This looked like the perfect adapter to connect my USB DAC to my phone with, so the DAC can sit behind the phone.
Unfortunately my phone could not recognise any DACs connected using this adapter, however, the right angle adapters work just fine.

Good adapter, but not quite what I was looking for

Small functional adapter, however does not support charging, so it has limited use cases for me
