Great screen protector for edge phones, but instructions a bit confusing
from Matthew on 16/08/2023
Following instructions for applying this got me lost after using the cleaning pads to wipe down the bare phone screen. The diagrams didn't really help me, but at the end I figured it out just from playing around.
I tried to look for YouTube videos, but it would have something that's missing on my end, or otherwise has a slightly different setup (a video had one plastic sheet to remove when applying the protector, whereas this one has 3 or 4 segmented plastic sheets).
At first, I ended up with a lot of air pocket bubbles and tried to squeegee them with the provided plastic card tool, and I did a horrendous job. I could see minor scratches as I flattened bubbles out.
However when you leave the screen protector for a while and let it rest, it "fixes" itself. It can go down to a few air bubbles you can flatten out, down to a really smooth surface as if you perfected the application first go.
Just make sure you get the alignment correct as you apply the protector, and try to carefully push out as many air bubbles as you can. Then leave it for a while as the screen heals.
I would give 5 stars if the instructions were a bit more helpful.

I give it 4 stars

Being malleable, I believe the hydrogel TPU film is a good option for edge-to-edge protection on a phone with curved sides, like the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion.
Personally, it took me a while to work out how to apply the protector, though that's to be expected given that I had no previous experience applying a protector. However, when you know what you're doing, it's not that hard to get a bubble-free finish.
I love the smooth touch of the protector, and its anti-fingerprint technology. My previous screen protector required regular wiping because it used to get quite grubby quickly.
In terms of protection, all I can say is that I've dropped my phone multiple times, with no damage to the phone's screen.
